Head crashing at the end of prints
« on: March 19, 2013, 11:31:21 AM »
If you find you are printing normally, but at the end of the print the model  it crashes the extruder and then starts printing randomly on the platform (or above the platform) there is a solution.

Open the UP Inspector application - this is located in the same folder as the UP! software (normally C:/Program Files/UP)

Run the 'Test SD card'

This wipes the SD card of any past prints and most times will solve the problem.

Getting U Inspector to "Read Print Parameters" shows the nozzle height, then I get "Error code 003, Can't read print param from computer and printer"
What's the go?

What do I do if I'm using mac.

This happens sometimes and its almost like the nozzle gets stuck to the model. Other times it does and just kicks off?

Hi Jacobpemble,

I don't believe their is an UP Inspector for OSX.
You would either need to run dual boot/virtual machine or see if a friend or colleague with a Windows based system could assist you.
