Thread width
« on: November 05, 2014, 09:45:58 AM »
Hi All,

Been reading through the specs of the Up Plus 2. I'm just wondering if anyone knows the thread width of the Up Plus 2. I think this would help everyone when it comes to getting designs right the first or second time.
Really heart breaking when you get to the 7hr of a print and right at the top the print fails because of a feature to small to print.

On another note what is the smallest feature people have be successfully able to print with their Up Plus.

Chris.

Hello!
The thread width should be 0.4 milimeters - that means that any vertical wall or part of an object smaller than this size will be ignored by the printer. I print with minimum dimensions of 1 mm for safety. On horizontal layers the printer can add a 0.15 mm layer thickness, but be careful - it usualy flies away with the support structure underneath.
Hope this helps,
Have a nice day!
